What is the best way to make money from my website without signing up for Google Adsense? I get a good amount of traffic to my website and was wondering how to turn this into monthly revenue. Thanks!

I want to create a page on googlepages and sign up with adsense. Of course the number of hits varies hugely, but what’s a reasonable number for a semi-decent site. Also, do people actually make money on this, or are the people making good money just a minority, with most people getting about 5 cents a month? Are there any catches to Google Adsense. One thing to remember with Adsense is that your mileage varies. One website with the 10,000 uniques a day can earn $50 a month while another may earn $5,000. The only way you can learn about how your site will perform with Adsense is through trying it.

The amount you can earn will depend on the

1. responsiveness of audience to the ads (users looking to book a travel to Spain comes to your site about tourist destinations in Spain then clicks on an ad about hotels in Spain)
2. ad format

4. ad colors – sometimes ads blended into the content works wonders, but sometimes ads that contrast your site colors work best

I’m getting mondo page views and pennies. What am I doing wrong? I think the ads google is putting on my site are stupid.

I did that once! Got not even a penny! You must just not suck as much as I do.

I’ve been looking for a good alternative to Adsense that pays pretty well. I found one well built network but you make a few pennies from lots of clicks. The same with Adsense would have been a few dollars for sure. I’m not using Adsense again so please don’t tell me to use it. I’m looking for alternatives! Thanks for your help! 🙂
