February 23rd, 2013 1 comment

I have a website that I would like to display ads on and hopefully earn some revenue.
Can you please recommend me other companies/websites who would provide me with ads to publish on my website? something similar to Google Adsense?
I greatly appreciate your help.
Thank you.

A web search for Adsense Alternatives should yield some reviews like this one:

12 Best Google Adsense Alternatives to Make Money Online

Adsense probably pays a bit better but that $100 min payout is a killer for small sites that may need years to get the 10,000 visitors it may take to earn. Some successful site operators describe Adsense as "paying the electric bill" other revenue sources like the right affiliate programs can earn more.

What is the best alternative to Adsense?

I want to know what is earning more money on websites than Adsense ads and get some proof of earnings.

It depends on the website. In my case, Adsense is by far the BEST. The main authority website in my niche uses (Entrepreneur.com) Intellxt though, and Intellxt uses them as their main lure to attract us to Intellxt saying they make a lot of money from the program

I have yet to find a website that claims they make more money from alternative contextual ad networks such as Adbrite who have not been kicked out of Adsense. I’ve seen very few people who says they make better with Yahoo Publishers Network.

Get proof of earnings? Unless that person is running a blog or selling you an ebook promoting their "guru" status, they will not show you proof of earnings. But here’s someone who made millions from Adsense http://plentyoffish.wordpress.com/2006/06/07/small-companies-google-adsense-is-the-future/ (I have yet to see someone claim to make a million from the other ad networks)

The best way is to find what Adsense alternative works for you by applying to the various ad networks and see which one works best.

Yahoo! Publishing Network (currently in beta and available to US publishers only) http://publisher.yahoo.com/
Intellixt http://vibrantmedia.com/site/web_01a5.htm
Quigo Adsonar http://www.quigo.com/adsonarexchange.htm
IndustryBrains http://www.industrybrains.com
Commission Junction Evolution http://www.cj.com

I am looking for some alternatives to adsense?

I want some good paying alternatives to google adsense that pay on a cost per click basis. I have tried most of the other big ones but I would like to know who you recommend? Thanks

If you want alternatives to Google Adsense https://www.google.com/adsense/ , the best one is
Yahoo! Publishing Network (currently in beta and available to US publishers only) http://publisher.yahoo.com/

Otherwise here are the other top paying ones.

Intellixt http://vibrantmedia.com/site/web_01a5.htm
Quigo Adsonar http://www.quigo.com/adsonarexchange.htm
IndustryBrains http://www.industrybrains.com
Commission Junction Evolution http://www.cj.com
Kanoodle Brightads http://www.kanoodle.com/about/brightads.html
Clicksor http://www.clicksor.com/affiliate_programs.php
Contextweb http://www.contextweb.com/
Bidclix http://www.bidclix.com/
Bidvertiser http://www.bidvertiser.com/

Intellixt is slightly different from Adsense (they put a hyperlink on the keywords of your page and ads will be shown when the user hovers on the hyperlink — look at Entrepreneur.com). If you can get in Intellixt, this is one of the high paying ones out there — but it is more of an invitation only where their marketing folks will email you requesting to consider putting their ads on your site. But check if you can apply and get accepted

Google Adsense in brief :
For that you must have a Website. You have to paste this html code in your web-page. The google ads will display within 10 minutes from the paste of your code. The ads are relevant to your content of the page. If visitors vist your website / web-page and click that ad, you can earn money. The earning will be depend on cost per click for that particular ad and placement of that ad. It may around 1 cent to some dollars. Once your account reaches 100 dollars. Google will send a cheque to your address. After 10 Dollars you will receive Pin Number Card. Once pin number reach your address correctly. Google confirm your address. Then you receive your cheque to that address.
Because the ads are related to what your users are looking for on your site, the result can be much better than you’d earn from banner networks and many affiliate programs.
For now, Adsense is the best way to make money free online informational sites even if there are no obvious related affiliate programs. But you don’t need to disregard affiliate programs. You can combine both these ways to make money free online and double your income.
Adsense is easy to join, it doesn’t cost you anything, all you have to do is paste a few lines of code in to your pages, and Google does the work of finding the best ads for them from hundreds of thousands of Adwords advertisers.

January 8th, 2013 2 comments

im looking for an alternative to googleadsense.
i cant use yahoo ads because i am in canada and that service is in the usa. i dont want to use adbrite because they are for my social security number which i dont want to give out. i looked into bidvertiser but i dont think i can get much profit from that because i have to get bids. can some one help me?

Nothing comes quite close to Adsense in terms of revenues, payouts, volume of advertising, and reliability.

Check out Intellixt http://vibrantmedia.com/site/web_01a5.htm (you can see an example of how it looks like at Entrepreneur.com). They are very picky with the types of publishers they work with but they have one of the better payouts out there

Other contextual advertising program include

IndustryBrains http://www.industrybrains.com
Commission Junction Evolution http://www.cj.com
Kanoodle Brightads http://www.kanoodle.com/about/brightads.html
Clicksor http://www.clicksor.com/affiliate_programs.php
Contextweb http://www.contextweb.com/
Bidclix http://www.bidclix.com/
Bidvertiser http://www.bidvertiser.com/

But still, nothing comes quite close to Adsense.

How can I make money off my popular blog? Are there any blog hosting sites that share ad revenue?

January 8th, 2013 2 comments

I pen a fairly popular independent sports blog, with several thousand regular visitors. Now I need to figure out how to make money off it. Are there any blog hosting sites that share ad revenue, or will I need to set up my own site and sign up for Google AdSense? Advice appreciated!!

One of the most common way of earning money from blogs is through advertising and donations. Here are some ways you can earn money from your blog:

Blog Advertising Network = sells ads exclusively for blogs

Federated Media Publishing http://www.federatedmedia.net/blog/
Feedburner Ad Netword http://www.feedburner.com – you must have a healthy subscriber rate to be accepted to their advertising program
CrispAds http://www.crispads.com/ – a blog advertising network
BlogAds http://www.blogads.com/ – they represent some of the best known blogs

Other Advertising Opportunities for Bloggers

Google Adsense http://www.google.com/adsense
Chitika eMinimalls http://www.chitika.com
Text link ads – you can sell for fixed price for a fixed period of time
Donation (yes, you can beg)
Affiliate programs such as Commission Junction http://www.cj.com and the Amazon Associates program

You can also get paid for blogging

Blogit.com http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Help/HelpPage.aspx?page=writingoverview
Pay per Post http://www.payperpos.com
Weblogs Inc http://www.weblogsinc.com/

What is the best online advertising solution?

December 29th, 2012 2 comments

I have used Google AdSense, however I would like to use a different service to earn revenue on my website. Which are the best?

It is hard to say what is the best because your mileage may vary.

For me for example, Adsense brings in 75% of my income while banner ad networks such as Valueclick and BurstMedia combined only brings in about 5% — while for some sites the reverse may be true. In my case, Adsense is by far the BEST program.

1. Join an advertising network. Advertising networks are organizations that aggregate Web sites that offer advertising space, and sell banner ads (and other advertising options) across them. Traffic requirement is often a minimum of 5,000 monthly impressions, although many do not accept sites hosted by free page services.

Burst Media http://www.burstmedia.com
Fastclick (ValueClick). http://www.fastclick.com
Advertising.com. http://www.advertising.com
Tribal Fusion http://www.tribalfusion.com

2. Participate in contextual advertising networks. Contextual advertising are text ads delivered based on the content of the web page using an automated system.

Google Adsense https://www.google.com/adsense/
Yahoo! Publishing Network (currently in beta and available to US publishers only) http://publisher.yahoo.com/
Intellixt http://vibrantmedia.com/site/web_01a5.htm
Quigo Adsonar http://www.quigo.com/adsonarexchange.htm
IndustryBrains http://www.industrybrains.com
Commission Junction Evolution http://www.cj.com
Kanoodle Brightads http://www.kanoodle.com/about/brightads.html
Clicksor http://www.clicksor.com/affiliate_programs.php
Contextweb http://www.contextweb.com/
Bidclix http://www.bidclix.com/
Bidvertiser http://www.bidvertiser.com/

3. Sell advertising for your site directly. This is admittedly a more difficult route for a small business site wanting to earn advertising revenues. But hey, as they say: "no pain, no gain!"

How do you make money from a website?

December 10th, 2012 4 comments

If I set up a web site that gets thousands of hits a day, how can I make money from it?

I know about Google adsense, but I’ve heard that that doesn’t give you much.

What other alternatives are there, and how much do they pay?

Hi,

There are quite a few options but promoting affiliate programs is one of the easiest and quickest.

Affiliate programs allow you to sell other people’s products and earn a commission. So, if you have a website about say Fishing, than you could promote someone’s ebook about fishing and earn 50% or so commission every time a book is sold through your site. See the Marketplace at http://www.clickbank.com for lots of examples of ebooks you could promote.

Also, have a look at the free Make Money for Newbies ebook at http://www.makemoneyonlinefornewbies.com/?id=44 because as it’s name implies it is specifically designed to help newbies get started at earning money online. Myself and three of my friends have been using it because it’s a simple, step by step guide that anyone can follow but most importantly it works.

I hope this helps,
Megs

How can I earn from my Indian website other than Google adsense?

December 10th, 2012 4 comments

I want to earn some money through my website and google adsense didn’t accept my request as my website is only 2 months old ( they need at least 6 months). Please tell me if there is any way I can make some money from other sources. It would be better for me if they pay in checks rather than pay-pal or alert-pay.

First off, improve the quality of your site. I know of newly created sites that got accepted. It seems that Adsense is using the 6 months excuse if they don’t like the quality of your content

There are several ways you can earn money from advertising other than Adsense:

How can I add my google adsense account to Yahoo small business site?

December 8th, 2012 1 comment

Hi

I recently created a website using Yahoo small business site solutions. I want to add my adsense ads to my site, so that I can earn small amounts. Please suggest me how to put the HTML code in Yahoo website?

Currently, Yahoo! Site Solution does not support the use of HTML embedded code that you get from either Google AdSense or other affiliate programs. We hope to bring that option to Yahoo! Site Solution in the near future and we will alert our Yahoo! Small Business customers when it becomes available.

In the meantime, if you are using a Windows based computer out other tool Yahoo! SiteBuilder can use HTML embedded code very easily and can be downloaded for free at:

http://webhosting.yahoo.com/ps/sb/index.php

Please be aware that Yahoo! SiteBuilder is a different tool and any site data that was created in Yahoo! Site Solution will not be able to be used.

If you have any other questions about Yahoo! Site Solution or SiteBuilder, feel free to contact us at http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/contactus
