Making videos is not doing “nothing”. You have to write them, shoot and edit them. Which can be time consuming. And then you have to monitor the feeds for comments to mine for new users. I guess it’s case by case for each tuber. Very few things come in life that easy. To make any money on adsense you need to be thoroughly engaged with youtube at first and probably once you get it rolling.
