Can I place ads from different ad networks on my website?
I am a website publisher and am currently running ads from google adsense. Aloong with that, can I also post ads from another network such as Yahoo publisher’s network? Is it allowed?
I suggest you carefully read Adsense program policies to be able to find out what types of ads you can place.
You cannot place competing ads such as Yahoo Publishers Network on the SAME page where you have Adsense ads. If you wish to use YPN, then you have to use it on a page where you are not running Adsense.
You can use banner ads from ad networks, affiliate program ads as long the ads do not mimic the look and feel of Adsense. You can join banner ad networks and use other ad networks as long as the ads do not violate Adsense policies
From what the first person said that you can put anything on your website — Sure, you can. But you signed an agreement to abide by the policies of Adsense. Google therefore reserves the right to kick you out of the Adsense program if they find you to be in violation of their program policies, so if you value Adsense participation I won’t do it.

Competitive Ads and Services
In order to prevent user confusion, we do not permit Google ads or search boxes to be published on websites that also contain other ads or services formatted to use the same layout and colors as the Google ads or search boxes on that site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads cannot be confused with Google ads.

Almost everything is legal on the internet, with few exceptions related to spam or porn.
I think Google would have considerable risk if they bothered to notice the conflict and took adverse action.
Who are they to say what you can post on your website, anyway?
For the public’s benefit (especially mine) what sort of revenue do you generate from Adsense?

Yes, you can – many websites run several different ad networks on the same page. The display/image ads might be from Doubleclick (DART) or Adbrite, text ads could be from Quigo or Google AdSense, or any number of ad networks.
Google may say you can’t do it, but many sites do. Many networks offer a higher CPM than AdSense.
