How do you make money from a website?
If I set up a web site that gets thousands of hits a day, how can I make money from it?
I know about Google adsense, but I’ve heard that that doesn’t give you much.
What other alternatives are there, and how much do they pay?

There are quite a few options but promoting affiliate programs is one of the easiest and quickest.
Affiliate programs allow you to sell other people’s products and earn a commission. So, if you have a website about say Fishing, than you could promote someone’s ebook about fishing and earn 50% or so commission every time a book is sold through your site. See the Marketplace at http://www.clickbank.com for lots of examples of ebooks you could promote.
Also, have a look at the free Make Money for Newbies ebook at http://www.makemoneyonlinefornewbies.com/?id=44 because as it’s name implies it is specifically designed to help newbies get started at earning money online. Myself and three of my friends have been using it because it’s a simple, step by step guide that anyone can follow but most importantly it works.
