does google adsense automatically recognize keywords in my website?
Yep, they claim it "goes beyond simple keyword or category matching" but I doubt it’s anything much more than the method they use for their search engines to decypher content.

I see changes in the dynamics of the economy. One such marker is e-bay where 99.5% of items on auction have no bids.
I have a blog of my own and google adsense has literally like earned me $3 in the past half year. Unless you have some famous sort of blog, I think the average user would not be earning much. So my answer would be no.
But I’m a research assistant at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern and we run online studies that are paid!
You’ll get $20-50 gift cards to major retailers or $10/hour depending on the study length, and this can be easily done at your computer in your spare time.
Sign up at: https://kellogg-elab.sona-systems.com for notifications of upcoming studies.
Good luck!
READ THIS TO UNDERSTAND THANK YOU if i put a hold on my account will i still be getting the money into my account that they put? i just don’t want to get the money just yet it has not reached the money limit i want for them to send me the money i want to build it up before getting a check…. so can i put a hold on it ?
Hold mean hold the payment, adsense will not send you check if you hold your accounr no matter you already achieve the minimum payout or not
You gotta release the hold before you can get the check.
By the way, you can also set the minimum payout without holding the payment
I found this site and it looks pretty cool! Does anyone think audio advertising will work on blogs and websites? Is this better than Google Adsense?
Here it is => http://www.sellingppp.com/a.cgi?ppp=1202906245
This may be good for small companies and such…
Guys at http://www.helpadsense.com guided me very well hope you too will get good help there
I notice a lot of spam in this section. It will follow this format:
Question: "Guys do you like this website (link)?"
Body: "Take a look do you think it’s useful?"
(A few suckers will click, not realizing that there isn’t a question but the asker just wanted you to click and buy something on the site).
Answer: "If you want to make money go here (link)/ref?=333" or "Go to my blog for more (blogspot link)".
The referral link means you sign up under them for the program and you make them money. Their blog likely has a bunch of Google Adsense ads that you click and they profit.
Anyway, I think it could be Advertising and Marketing, or the Career section with 500 people asking per second "How can I make money online?" What do you think? People are getting sneaky about it!
Polls and Survey, which is a magnet / haven for frivolous stuff. YA was smart to put in that category — it keeps other categories pretty clean.
Other than that, I think the LGBT Cultures group gets spammed a lot — though, I’d categorize it more as trolling.
Overall I have to agree – this category sees the most referral link / affiliate crap out there. Especially by the users with 0 points, 0% authority, yet 6 questions….
My adsense earning already crossed more 200 dollars two months before. But still Google not paid my amount. No hold either by google or by me in my account. Why google not sending the cheque or not posted Payment in Progress or Payment issued details on the Payment history page. I don’t know. Not only me. Last 3 months I received lot of same complaints from office colleagues and Friends circle.
It is very sad to say "Google also joining the Scam List or Cheating List"
Lot of websites on internet early cheating the people in the name of Google Adsense. But now Google itself joining that cheating list with that people
If I posted my question in Google Adsense Forum no answer and also if I personally send e-mail to google no answer. What to do? It shows Google is clearly start cheating the adsense publishers now like others
how did you get started? was ‘that’ a scam? and not google?
My main question is where is the best place to create a free website that will work with Google Adsense?
Any tips for getting started and a good place to build my site would be appreciated. I am looking to create a website for free.
Thanks a bunch.
The best place for a free AdSense site is Blogger.
Why?
-Blogger is owned by Google
-AdSense is owned by Google
-Search engine optimizers say that Google is where most of the searches and website traffic comes from.
-There has been theories that say that Google favors Blogger sites; This could mean possible higher rankings that having your site not on Blogger.
Those are just a few reasons.
However, if you’re planning to build AdSense sites the right way – by building content-rich sites, that takes a lot of time (and money if you’re outsourcing it).
I would suggest to pay for some affordable domain and hosting and host your site on it. Prices on both of these have dropped considerably in the recent years.
If that’s not an option, build a free site until you earn enough money to pay for them and then switch over. Be warned though. Changing the site over is a big hassle and can result in loss of web traffic.
Hi, I have a website that generates revenue off of Google AdSense. I’m guessing that Google sends the income info to the IRS.
Do I fill out a 1098T form at tax season stating my income from AdSense? Also should I save about 30% of the income to pay the taxes I’ll owe on it?
And I’m also curious, would medicare and social security be coming out of the same federal tax I owe on the income or what?
I’m just a little confused about the whole thing. Any enlightenment will be in great appreciation. Thank you.
I’m sorry I meant a 1099 instead of 1098T.
Also, I do not have a business, this is something I do on the side as extra income.
A 1098T is for schools to report tuition payments, so I don’t think you would fill that out…
If Google sends the IRS a 1099 in January, then you will also get a copy. (Actually they send it to you in January and they have until the end of February to send it to the IRS.)
But whether you get a 1099 or not, it is your responsibility to keep accurate records of your income and expenses and use those numbers to prepare your tax return.
The type of business structure you have will determine the type of tax return you file: single member LLC = 1040 Schedule C, Sole Prop = 1040 Schedule C, multi-member LLC or partnership = 1065, S-Corp = 1120S, C-Corp = 1120. If you file a 1065 or 1120S those will generate a K-1 that get reported on your personal 1040.
Income tax and Self-Employment (SE) are two separate taxes – both reported and paid on the 1040 return. They are not figured on the same taxable income – SE is based on your business income and the Income Tax is reported on all your income: wages, business income, investment income etc…
30% may cover your tax bill if you are in the 15% tax bracket – but if you make a ton of money and are in the 35% bracket, it may not even cover your income taxes and you still have to come up with the 15.3% self-employment tax. IRS requires you to make quarterly estimated tax payments.
Go to www.irs. gov and look for information about small business tax and reporting responsibilities. The IRS is working to provide resources for the small business owner.
I have a couple of blogger accounts and I was wondering if I could put adsense on both of them? I don’t really know how to do this and was wondering if someone could help me. I also wanted to know if WordPress is better than Blogger?
Also if anyone is successful using adsense, could you please provide some tips on how to maybe make it work better for me.
Ag86,
I’m not in ad-sense exactly, but if that’s exactly what you want to make money in then you need to check out the link below. Jack Humphrey is the the major leader in this arena.
I do know this though, Word-press p’s all over blogger! In every sense, sorry if this takes the wind out your sales, but your business will be much better off if you make the switch asap and preferably before you add a lot of content to your blogger blog. You will find a lot of evidence to back this claim up across the net.
Only, if you looking to make money you will need a hosted word-press and not the free version as this goes against it’s codes and sooner or later it will get shut down. You can get a hosted account for like $6 a month from Hostagtor or any other hosting company.
I hope this helps?
Giuseppe
As a web master you’re interested in one thing…traffic – and lots of it! With traffic comes a potential customer, which basically means sales which in turn means profits.
While many sites have collapsed in the past with the downturn of many internet based business, many smaller sites have generated good money by hosting ads on their websites.
Do You Need to be Computer Savvy to Use Google Adsense?
No! You don’tt have to be a techno-geek to use Google Adsense. In fact, you don’t need any more technical knowledge than you do to surf the web. Google Adsense is very user-friendly with a comprehensive support site to answer any question you might have.
Google will walk you through the sign-up process where you are prompted for the information it needs. You will then have a couple of days while you are waiting for your account to be approved. This would be a good time to familiarize yourself with the program policies, which of course you read before you signed up. But look again!
Make sure the site you are registering doesn’t have any of the no-nos listed. For instance, some profanity is allowed, but nothing excessive. What is excessive? That could be a gray area, but if you’re in doubt, don’t register that site. There’s plenty of sites with little or no profanity.
Look at the support site while you are waiting on Google Adsense and see what others are saying and doing. Most of all, have fun. Your Google Adsense dollars are just waiting to be counted.
What You Can and Should Do
Google Adsense is a fun and easy way to make extra money. It’s important to follow the rules though as Google is serious about the integrity of this program. Not following the rules could result in your Google Adsense account being terminated. Here are a few Dos for using the program:
Read the Terms and Conditions and Program Policies thoroughly. Read everything you can about Google Adsense to learn from others’ experiences and mistakes.
Learn how to optimize your site for the most enjoyable and profitable Google Adsense experience. Realize it takes time and hard work, which is why you should be doing something you care about. Hard work is even harder if you don’t like what you’re doing.
Visit other sites that are benefiting from Google Adsense. Click on the ads only if you are truly interested in the product or service being advertised. Read other people’s blogs and comment on them. Offer comments only if it’s meaningful and adds value for readers who log on after you.
How Much Money Can You Make With Google Adsense?
How much do you want to make? How hard do you want to work? And how much time do you want to spend working the Google Adsense program?
These are the questions you must ask yourself in order to answer the question, and of course it’ll be different from person to person.
If your total earnings is showing 0.00 after a week, not to worry. Keep reading and learning and working. If however, you’re still showing 0.00 after a month, it may be time to implement some of those optimization tips you’ll find on the Google Adsense Support Site.
Play around with the placement of the ads on your site. Consider changing the colors. Look again at the content. Is it interesting?
As with any other business, with the Google Adsense program, the sky is the limit. Work hard. Work smart. Have fun. After all, you’re the boss.
Summarily, AdSense makes it possible for almost anyone with a web site or blog to earn some revenue from advertising, without having to employ sales people or spend precious time searching for advertisers.
